How Many Witches Does It Take To Light A Candle?

As I’ve dived deeper into this enchanting world, I’ve discovered there are so many different types of witches. Each one has its own unique vibe, like magical subgenres. Here’s a quick rundown of a few I’ve learned about.

A brick building labeled Witch City Mall is in the background. In the foreground, a fountain with stone pillars and cascading water is surrounded by a small reflective pool. Several people are walking nearby, and a black pickup truck is parked in front. Trees with green foliage are visible, and signage advertising a psychic fair is displayed.

As I’ve dived deeper into this enchanting world, I’ve discovered there are so many different types of witches. Each type of witch has its own unique vibe, like magical subgenres. Here’s a quick rundown of a few I’ve learned about:

  • Kitchen Witch: Magic in the kitchen, where every recipe is a spell and every spice jar is a potion ingredient. I guess I’d better stop takeout if I want to be one of these.

  • Green Witch: Nature lovers who commune with plants, trees, and herbs. Sigh, if only I lived somewhere that is not akin to hell's front porch with mosquitoes and ticks.

  • Hedge Witch: The astral travelers and spiritual explorers. They "cross the hedge" into other realms. Me? I’m still trying to cross my driveway without tripping.

  • Sea Witch: Masters of oceanic energy, shells, and waves. Sounds dreamy, but I live nowhere near water. Maybe a puddle witch?

  • Cosmic Witch: Stars, planets, and astrology galore! I’m still learning how to read my birth chart, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

  • Solitary Witches: Practice witchcraft alone, without a coven. Yep, sign me up!

  • Hereditary Witches: Inherit their craft from family lineages. Ah no, not my family. I do have good birthing hips though!

  • Faerie Witches: Work with the magic of the Fey, including fairies, sprites, and other nature spirits. Ah, aren't these guys a bit mischievous?

  • Tech Witch: Yes, this is real. Digital spells, apps, and spreadsheets of magic! Finally, something for my nerdy side.

And that’s just scratching the surface. There’s a witch for practically every interest and personality. The list keeps going: crystal witches, storm witches, lunar witches, and even shadow witches who work with the darker sides of life (no judgment if your "dark side" is just eating the last cookie).

Here’s my take: if there are already this many kinds of witches, why not add more? Who says you can’t create your own type? What about a Coffee Witch who draws power from their morning brew? Or a Netflix Witch who casts spells during binge-watching marathons? (Yes, I’d be this witch.)

Witchcraft is all about personal connection and intention. You don’t have to fit into a pre-made category. Why not embrace your quirks and invent your own brand of magic? For me, I might be a Casual Pajama Tech Witch—candles, crystals, and spells all performed with a computer in the comfort of elastic waistbands (and Crocs!).

Blessed be, or as I like to say, "Stay witchy, my friends!"
